Landscaping Contractors and Handy Workers 1099 Position: Hiring 2-3 More Crews for 2023

Pay: 1099 Contract Pay as a percentage of the job

Depends on Job and crew leader Experience/Tools/Vehicle

(workers in 2022 averaged about $35 to $40 per project hour)

Mizzou Crew is looking to hire and contract with experienced landscaping, hardscaping, leaf removal and/or mulch installation companies.

Mizzou Crew is a growing and locally STL owned company looking to add a few more experienced crew leaders and companies to help on landscaping, light construction and handy man projects all across the Greater St. Louis, MO area.

Most of our jobs are in the South, Mid and West County areas but we are growing with customers and crew leaders in surrounding areas, too.

We are seeking the very best contractors who can handle multiple worker and multiple day projects in a timely manor. We are paying top dollar for highly skilled and highly reliable workers and crews.

We are ideally looking for companies with 2-3 or more experienced workers available for 50-100 man hours worth of work each week.

We are also seeking more 1 man crews with trucks and tools to work solo and/or possibly team with other crews as needed.

As of April 15th, we are looking to add about 2-3 more part to possibly full time landscaping contractors/crew leaders for leaf removal, shrub trimming and mulch jobs this Summer 2023.

We are also growing our network more with a few more handyman, tree service, deck building and other construction type contractor companies. Long term we are looking to continue to grow our Mizzou Crew STL Network with quality contractors and customers and crew leaders!

Enjoy working in a positive environment with high pay, quick pay and flexible hours. Qualified crew leaders and Jr crew leaders should have some prior landscaping or construction experience and references and must be able to pass a detailed background check. Requires travel around the Greater St. Louis, MO plus having your own vehicle, preferably a truck with a trailer.

Each crew leader is responsible for bringing their own basic pre-determined project tools. Larger tools such as an aerator, bobcat or back hoe is helpful, but not required.

Mizzou Crew LLC (Who Are We)

Mizzou Crew is a growing landscaping and handyman service company with almost 1,000 customers in West and South county in Saint Louis, MO. The company was started by current owner Jeff Baker in 2004 and we now have 55+ crew leaders on our St Louis, MO list willing to help with projects and growing with more part time to sometimes full time crew leaders. We provide service to mostly residential customers, including but not limited to: leaf removal, mulch installation, shrub trimming, aerating, landscape installations, small to medium sized retaining walls, patio paver's and flagstone patios and walkways. We are also growing our handyman services for small to medium sized repair and construction projects.

Brief Description

-Booking mole control and mole eviction campaigns

-Setting up mole traps and coming back 3-5 times to check

-Knocking on doors with flyers around already booked jobs

-Work at job site, in neighborhoods and out of vehicle

-Helping other crew leaders schedule jobs and order materials

-Vehicle required for job site visits and mileage paid per mile

-Communicating with customers and helping generate renewals

-Communicating with new customers and projects

-Hitting flyers for 10-20 surrounding neighbor accounts

Weekly Schedule = Flexible Hours Per Week

Expected Hours = Flexible

We need help weekdays from about 8am until 6pm also need help on the weekends for flexible hours

Requirements

-Must have 5-10 years of Landscaping experience

-Must be able to learn to hunt rodent moles with our mole bucket hunting

-Must be willing to door knock or cold call face to face or on the phone for new accounts if and when needed. We generate a lot of call ins and repeat business but need moles and production manager to be trained to make cold calls, warm calls, follow up calls on the phone and in person.

-Mizzou Crew is hiring for 1 part to possibly and eventually full time production manager to help with all aspects of our business. We need help with answering the phones and following up with new and repeat customer call ins.
