Sharp Shooter Shovel Edging

Before installing or having your mulch delivered, make sure to clean out your beds of debris and when able, use a shovel to spade edge or shovel edge your beds. This will also help the mulch stay in the beds.

Pre-Emergent Weed Fertilizers 

Be more aggressive with the weed control by adding some granular pre-emergent fertilizer like Preen or equivalent before adding the mulch.  

Add About 3” of Mulch

To help block out the sun while also not having too much mulch, we normally recommend installing about 3” of mulch
